JUMP ON BOARD!!
TCEE is once again taking Texas teachers to the National Conference on Economic Education's Annual Conference in Biloxi, Mississippi.
The Conference is October 10-11, however, TCEE and Texas teachers will be working with Habitat for Humanity to help rebuild the Mississippi Gulf Coast on October 9th.
Teachers will receive the latest materials in support of teaching economics, personal finance and entrepreneurship.
Texas has led the nation in teacher attendance for the last six years - Can we make it seven?

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
The week of Nov. 17-21, 2008 has been designated International Awareness Week. In recognition of this, the Texas Council on Economic Education has planned a conference featuring International Economics and Marketing to be held at the State Capitol in Austin on Wednesday, November 19th. The program will include sessions on International opportunities for teachers, Globalization and Comparative Advantage, International Markets for Texas products, Economic Impact of Transportation, and Texas as the site for International Companies.
Professional Development credits will be awarded for participation, new materials will be distributed, and classroom ready lessons and activities will be demonstrated

Students in grades 4-12, learn about the our economic system and investing, while applying math, social studies, business, language arts, technology skills.
